Our Solvent Based Floor Finishes
Synteko’s focus has been to produce a quality product for the professional
floor sander. Syntekos high standard means that the company does not
manufacture the cheapest or widest range of products. Synteko produces
proven quality products that enhance the natural beauty whilst leaving
behind a durable, long-lasting, beautiful floor finish that will completely
satisfy you and your customer.
For the last 50 years, Synteko’s Swedish finish known as “Classic” has withstood the test of time and set the benchmark for excellence, that no other solvent-based finish can match. Synteko’s Classic system provides a unique combination of durability, scratch and scuff resistance, clarity and grain definition. The Classic system also provides unsurpassed beauty, bringing out the natural colour of your Wood floor.
The Classic advantages to you, the professional floor sander, is a sophisticated product, with its revolutionary formula that dries hard very quickly. This timber finish can be screened back and recoated within 1-2 hours. Thus enabling the sander to get on with the job quickly, resulting in a high quality finish at a low cost per square metre.
Synteko Classic provides you with a coating system that is not only reliable and durable but is consistently profitable, a feature no other coating system will achieve.
With Synteko Classic you will also have time and money for other things in life.
Our Oil Based Floor Finishes
Synteko’s mission is one of producing superior quality timber floor
finishes. For the past 35 years Synteko has been at the forefront of
floor coating technology, where reliability, durability and consistent
profitability is demanded by you, the professional floor sander.
Synteko has developed two-world class leading, yet distinctly different
oil finishes. Namely, Synteko Urethane and Synteko Solid.
Synteko Urethane is superior quality oil modified polyurethane-engineered
floor finish. This floor finish is renowned for its depth of beauty and
because of its high solid content, is extremely durable. Synteko Urethane
is a universal product enabling it to be used on any species of timber
floor. Urethane is its own sealer, only requiring two coats. Therefore,
urethane is a low cost per square metre per litre product, which offers
extreme durability over traditional oil finishes.
Synteko Solid is an innovative very high solids oil finish based on
natural oils for timber floors. This one coat application is characterised
by an exceptional high yield coupled with extraordinary abrasion resistance,
which is obtained through no evident film left on the surface. This feature
offers you, the floor sander, a coverage rate of between 40-50m2 per
litre. This VOC compliant oil can be used where traditional oils cannot
be used which gives you, the contractor, the advantage of a reliable
product at a very low cost. This is reinforced by a very low cost maintenance
regime.
A unique feature of Synteko Solid is the ability to modify its
basic colour by adding a range of pigmented colours. Click

Our Water Based Floor Finishes
Synteko has provided timber floor coatings that have the reliability,
durability and consistent profitability that you, the professional floor
sander, demand. This is backed up by a national network of distributors.
By choosing an industry leading waterbased system with the lowest VOC (volatile organic compounds) in the market, you will be able to offer your customers a fast drying timber floor finish meeting the most stringent of environmental standards.
Everyone from the most sophisticated architect and interior designer to the most experienced floor sander have discovered that Synteko waterbases are more durable than those of our competitors. The reasons are: Low VOC’s, non-toxic, non-yellowing, revolutionary cross-linking formula that dries hard quickly. Excellent flow and levelling properties, superior screening characteristics and powders well with no “gumming” up enhance this timber floor finish. In addition, it does not contain toxic aziridine cross-linkers.
Synteko recommends that those contractors who are inexperienced in applying and or working with waterbase finish need to gain practical experience on smaller floor areas first. Only when one has mastered the coating techniques and become accustomed to working with this type of product should one attempt more complex or larger projects. Simmerly, when one changes from one brand of finish coat to another it is imperative that one familiarizes oneself with the characteristics of the new product.
