Edger
Discs
Virginia Edger Discs are engineered to provide long life
and ensure smooth professional finish. This allows for the disc to
cut faster, resist heat loading and tearing.
Edger discs are available in either the conventional centre
hole ( 178mm dia.) form or the new Quicksand system. The tool-free
changing system features Velcro technology that reduces changing time
to just seconds. A conversion pad attaches like a standard paper disc
and protects the rubber back-up pad and the sanding disc is simply
pressed into place or removed with in seconds.
The Quicksand Edger system is suitable for all 178 mm dia.
( 7”) makes of edgers.
Available as:
Edger Disc (no hole) 174.5mm dia.
Conversation Disc (with hole) 174.5mm dia.

Sanding
Discs
Discs are used under polishing or buffing machines. They are
made from the same high quality Monster paper as the belts and rolls
with an excellent surface quality that resists heat loading and dust
build up. Virginia Abrasives have again re-engineered this basic product
for ease of operation. Virginia have developed the Quicksand disc which
has a special gripping grit on the top side to bind with the nylon
pad turning the polisher into a sander with out the need to use a sandpaper
driving plate, thus saving both time and money.
Sanding discs are available as a single sided or double sided disc,
405 mm dia. 60p, 80p and 100p grits.

Mesh Screens
Virginia Abrasives have developed a superior mesh screen
that is not only more durable, but does not clog up whilst maintaining
its superior cutting power.
Available in size 405mm diameter from 60p through to 220p grits. |

Floor
Maintenance Pads
Pads are mainly used with polisher or buffing machines to apply
Synteko Solid Oil or for cleaning of timber floors. An additional feature
is the support function for mesh screens, cloths or rags.
The colour of the pad will indicate how aggressive each type of
pad is, based on its abrasive content:
| White: |
used for burnishing and a support pad |
| Tan: |
buffing and cleaning |
| Red: |
Applying Solid Oil and cleaning |
| Green: |
Course cleaning |
| Brown: |

Blue Magic Pad
Virginia Abrasives innovative techniques have resulted in the
development of the Blue Magic Pad. This superior solution for ‘between
coat’ preparation of floor finishes has minimised problems associated
with the re-coating procedure. Gone are the days of using ‘used’ mesh
screens or strips of sandpaper on pads which leave swirl marks, scratches
or haze between layers of finish coat such as tung oil or oil modified
seal, waterborne and polyurethane finishes.
The advantages of using the Blue Magic Pad are superior abrasion
between finish coats, without removing large amounts of finish coating
material. This allows for a higher film build generating very little
dust.
This pad is very economical as the grain is throughout the pad allowing
for greater square metre coverage than obtained from mesh screens.
Most importantly, the Blue Magic Pad does not leave scratches between
coats while still knocking down the grain raise from seal coats.
Available in 405mm diameter.

Black Magic
Pad
The Black Magic Pad is designed as a preparation pad prior to
re-coating pre-finished floors, especially those finished with aluminium-oxide
finishes. The Black Magic Pad features a hard, sharp abrasive grain.
The aggressive grain etches the pre-finished floor without leaving
swirls or scratches while easily getting into tough places missed by
ordinary mesh screen products. Black Magic Pads can also be used to
correct minor finish damage on in-situ -finished floors.
Like the Blue Magic Pad, the Black Magic Pad is very economical,
as the grain is throughout the paid, not just on the surface.
